Age: approximately 27
Species in canon: Human with mutated blood, which causes episodes of extreme personality alteration as well as physical mutations and enhanced abilities. Naturally all of these do not carry over into the City.
Appearance: Juugo is the oldest and tallest member of Team (Hebi/Snake/Taka/Hawk, delete according to taste), and the only one without a fairly slender, effeminate build. He is much taller than Sasuke, making him approximately 6'1", and has a bulky appearance that contrasts him strongly with his more lithe teammates. His hair is a bright orange, and arranged in thick, short spikes swept back away from his forehead. He has dim green eyes and is fairly pale from a lifetime spent underground in laboratories and cells. He is not picky about clothing, and will generally wear what is available as not to inconvenience others. He also has no real concern about what is acceptable or normal, wearing first a simple shirt and shorts outfit and then a curtain.

History: Juugo was born with a curse in his blood that caused him to have fits of killing rage when upset or angry, or even just conflicted. He killed many of those close to him as a child, and when he was around eight - he doesn't remember much about his childhood - he heard of the Sannin Orochimaru and his experiments. He journeyed to find him, and begged Orochimaru to keep him imprisoned and try to find a way to stop the enzymes in his blood that triggered the episodes. Unfortunately, Orochimaru saw great potentional for battle in the enzymes, and isolated them from Juugo's blood to create the cursed seals, marks placed within a person's body that gave them a lesser version of Juugo's own condition. Because he was still safe from hurting others, Juugo chose to stay with Orochimaru. He soon met Kimimaro, a younger boy found by Orochimaru and brought up to be his next body because of his beauty and rare bloodline. He and Kimimaro formed a close bond, with the latter the only person able to stop his killing rages. When Kimimaro fell ill and chose to sacrifice himself in the effort to bring Sasuke to Orochimaru as a replacement container, Juugo chose to see Sasuke as Kimimaro's next incarnation, the physical recepticle of his spirit. Therefore, when Sasuke rebelled and killed Orochimaru three years later, he agreed to go with him on the small squad 'Snake', choosing to protect Sasuke and help him to defeat Itachi. His ability to communicate with animals made him a good scout and tracker, and, in spite of several fits during which Sasuke had to suppress his curse with the sharingan, he got on well with the fairly oddball team. After the death of Itachi, he chose to stay on in the renamed 'Hawk' to help Sasuke kill the elders of the Hidden Leaf.

Personality: Having spent most of his life in voluntary imprisonment to the Sannin Orochimaru, he is still rather 'simple' in terms of motivation and personality, although in comparison to his teammates this makes him a rather more sweet and noble person than expected for what he has been through. His cursed blood makes it difficult to get close to people out of fear that he will hurt or kill them: any emotion or conflict will bring about the switch into a killing rage. This impedes even his ability to lead anything resembling a normal life. Despite not having this 'power' in the City, it will be exceedingly difficult to shake off old habits. He will not take the chance that the suppression will wear off whilst he is with someone. As the curse triggers whenever he begins to get annoyed, let alone feel violent, he maintains an air of calm neutrality in an effort to stave it off. Occasionally this slips, but not often.
He is loyal only to Kimimaro and by extension Sasuke, whom he believes carries Kimimaro's spirit after the latter died in the effort to bring Sasuke to the Hidden Sound. However, he is not negative towards others, merely neutral in an attempt to keep them at a safe distance. He is often gallant when dealing with others, and does not mind placing himself in a lesser position to calm someone down. He will be hesitant and slow to respond to any social offers for a while, but may eventually grow more confident.

Strengths: He is very physically powerful even without the curse, which when coupled with his height and build make him an intimidating opponent in close combat, or just in any confrontation. His kind and noble personality will be useful for making friends and socialising once he gains a measure of confidence, and his loyalty will help anyone who manages to make a good impression and become close to him. His need to protect those around him coupled with his affected calm, neutral personality make him an ideal peacekeeper and judge.

Weaknesses: Beyond what has already been discussed - that he has a near-debilitating fear of getting close to people in case he unintentionally rips them limb from limb, that he refuses to be drawn into arguments and as such appears uninterested and unconfrontational - he has grown up in a laboratory. He is as such completely unused to ordinary life, as well as being easily manipulated by those good at subterfuge.
